Advertised Costs
All prices shown are in New Zealand dollars, and include
GST (12.5%) (the NZ consumer tax). Prices on our Web site should be taken as cost indicators
only. Some services may in fact cost less during the travel
off-season, and we are continually working to provide the best travel experiences at the
best price. Once you submit a booking inquiry we will try to find the service that is best
for you, and get back to you with details for confirmation.
Cancellation & Refunds
Many operators charge us a cancellation
fee - in turn we may refund only part of your deposit or payment in the
event of cancellation.
After our confirmation of your reservation:
- A minimum fee of NZ$25 applies to changes / modifications.
- A minimum fee of NZ$400 applies to Travel Passes
- For cancellations within 30 days of pick up - The amount refundable is proportionally
forfeited plus any cancellations imposed by the other suppliers used.
- Once issued, a Travelpass is non-refundable,
non-transferable and cannot be extended. An unused Travelpass is valid for 4 months from
the date of issue.
- Travelpass may be used on the services of InterCity
Coachlines, Newmans Coach Lines and associate private bus companies, two Tranz Scenic rail
journeys and one Interislander ferry crossing of Cook Strait. A 4 in 1 Travelpass also
includes one flight on Air New Zealand National or Air New Zealand Link air services.
- A day of travel commences at 0001 hours and finishes at 2400
hours. Overnight journeys count as 2 days use of the pass.
- Travelpass purchasers are subject to the Terms and
Conditions of Travel of the operators of the services travelled on. See General Conditions
of Carriage of Passengers Services of Tranz Rail Ltd., InterCity Coachlines Ltd., Newmans
Coach Lines and Air New Zealand Conditions of Carriage and related conditions. These Terms
and Conditions are available from the carriers.
- If for any reason the carriers cannot honour the Terms and
Conditions set out, then the liability shall be limited to the purchase price of the
Travelpass purchased.
- Travelpass New Zealand accepts no responsibility for
timetable changes that may occur.
- The 4 in 1 Travelpass Air New Zealand sector can be used one
week before or after the commencement or termination of the ground transportation used.
Disclaimer
NZ Travel Services reserves the right to alter prices,
itineraries, arrange alternative transportation, accommodation or services, or to cancel
bookings as we deem necessary.
NZ Travel Services will not be held liable, directly or
indirectly, for any loss or damages resulting from activities under the control of other
agents, including but not limited to claims for death, personal injury, machinery
breakdown, delays, or additional expenses, which may arise when utilizing a service
arranged through us.
