SOUTH ISLAND GLACIERS AND MOUNTAINS
(Minimum 2 people)

DAY ONE

Travel from Wellington to Picton in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds by Interislander Ferry (3 hours) or take the option of flying with Soundsair for a panoramic overview of the sounds (20 minutes).  Then board the TranzCoastal train and follow the spectacular coastline to Kaikoura and through to Christchurch.

Or 

Fly Sounds Air to Kaikoura in the morning and then join the Tranz Coastal in the afternoon to Christchurch.  (There is time to fit in the Whale Watch tour not included in price).

DAY TWO

Travel on the renowned Tranz Alpine to Arthurs Pass and onto Greymouth on the West Coast, passing through the Otira tunnel beneath the Southern Alps.  The Tranz Alpine is rated as one of the top six train journeys in the world.

On arrival in Greymouth you make your way to your accommodation. You will then be picked up to join a Kea West Coast Tour to the Punakaiki Pancake rocks and Blowholes.

DAY THREE
(Minimum 2 people)

Join Kea West Coast Tours for the full day ECO tour of the West Coast.  Travel to Hokatika and visit the Westland Greenstone Factory / Shop.  After departing Hokatika for the Glasiers a short stop will be made at Lake Mahinapua.

View Franz Josef Glacier before travelling to Lake Matheson to view Mt Cook and Tasman,  on the return stopping at Fox Glacier for a guided walk in the valley before heading back to Greymouth.

DAY FOUR

The morning is free at leisure before travelling back to Christchurch by coach where you will be dropped at your accommodation.
