Day 1: Arrive at Christchurch
Our representative will meet you and take you to your car.
Overnight in Christchurch.

Day 2: Christchurch - Dunedin    5 hours
Across the plains to Timaru, Oamaru, and to see the Moeraki Boulders. Stay at the Castle Lodge (30 minutes out of the city - near the penguin and albatross colonies).

Day 3: Dunedin - Te Anau  - Farm Lodge     4 hours
Cropping and sheep farming country take you to Gore and Lake Te Anau in remote Fiordland. Meet your hosts at the farm lodge this afternoon - DBB

Day 4: Te Anau - Milford Sound - Overnight cruise    4 hours
Spend time with your hosts and tour the farm before driving via the spectacular Eglinton Valley, the Homer Tunnel and down the Cleddau Canyon to Milford Sound. Board the 'Mariner' for your overnight cruise on this magnificent fiord - DBB.

Day 5: Milford Sound - Queenstown    5 hours
Enjoy the solitude of the Sound and the many optional activities available before driving via Te Anau, Kingston and Lake Wakatipu to Queenstown for 3 nights stay.

Day 6 and 7: At Queenstown
Two whole days for the dozens of optional activities and sightseeing tours.

Day 8: Queenstown - Glaciers   7 hours
Through the Kawerau Gorge, past Lakes Wanaka and Hawea, to the West Coast World Heritage National Park, time to see the glaciers. Overnight at Franz Josef Glacier.

Day 9: Glaciers - Greymouth - Christchurch    10 hours
With lots of stops it is four hours to Greymouth. From here you can drive over Arthurs and
Porters Passes to Christchurch.
Overnight in Christchurch.

Day 10: Christchurch - Picton - Wellington    10 hours
North to Kaikoura (famous for its whales) and then to Picton. By ferry to Wellington to collect your new car. Overnight in Wellington.

Day 11: Wellington - Rotorua    6 hours
Beside the ocean then up to the plateau and past the volcanoes. Around Lake Taupo and via Wairakei to Rotorua. The famous Maori Hangi and Concert is included. Stay two nights in Rotorua.

Day 12: At Rotorua
Today is free - make sure you see Whakarewarewa, the Agrodome, Rainbow Springs. Ride the luge at Skyline, swim in a thermal pool.

Day 13: Rotorua - Auckland    4 - 8 hours
You can drive direct to Auckland (four hours); or via the Waitomo Caves; or via the kiwi fruit country and Tauranga. Stay overnight in Auckland.

Day 14: Departure from Auckland
Today is at leisure until you return your car to the Airport before catching your flight.
