Milford Sound Underwater Observatory

Guided visits to the Milford Sound Underwater Observatory are available as an "add-on" with most Milford Sound Scenic, Nature and Small Boat Cruises (bookings essential). After an informative introductory talk, you will descend to the underwater viewing chamber to observe the fascinating corals, anemones, sponges, sea horses and fish species in their natural habitat.

The Milford Sound Underwater Observatory option is available with Daytime and Overnight Cruise departures (extra cost), exceptions include Scenic Cruise (1.00pm) and MV Friendship Cruise (10.30am).

If you choose a visit to the Underwater Observatory you will return to the Milford Wharf by water taxi approximately 30 minutes later than the scheduled cruise return.
